If you would ask someone what a candle is, you may get an answer fairly quickly. It may go as follows: a candle is a light and heat source that consists of a wick embedded in a solid block of wax. If you then would ask what the “meaning” of a candle is, you may have to wait a bit longer for an explanation.
Throughout history candles have always been a very important part of the cultures around the world. We all, at one time or another have used candles to create an atmosphere, to pray or to help a wish come true and feel that the flame represents the source of our creation, our inner light. Candles are relatively inexpensive and come in different shapes. Pillar candles are solid and self standing. Dinner candles are tapered and securely placed in holders.
