Love is patient, love is kind… it can be rewarding or make you blind… Love can be deep, intense and unending, yet it can also break you and tear you apart. What is love? That is one of the most difficult questions of mankind and till this day no-one has ever been able to come up with an answer that fits for all. Despite the different definitions of what love is there is one conclusion everyone agrees upon: if you find it, don’t let it go!
It does not matter if it is your first or your fiftieth; wedding anniversaries are an ideal opportunity for couples to celebrate their love for each other and remember why they got married in the first place. How you celebrate is up to you. You can individually buy each other a gift symbolizing your love or you can do something together. A trip to a secluded get-away would be nice or a romantic dinner in town or at even at home.
As the depth, versatility, and complexity in a relationship changes, regardless if this is a deep friendship or any type of love relationship, the choice of gifts may change. These adjustments can furthermore be influences by a move, financial fluctuations, the arrival of children, a new job or a change in health status. Life is unpredictable and full of surprises and there is nothing we can do about that.
Starting anniversary traditions may be an easier way to keep your love blossoming as time goes by. Each year you could write each other a beautiful note card with your own anniversary message or have your picture taken together on that special day. Start an album or a picture wall and see how the years make you grow closer. Each anniversary you could try a new kind of wine from a different country or pick an unusual restaurant. Even if the experiences are not really your culinary preference it will make for a memory you won’t forget.
